Confirmation 2021/2022Confirmation 2021/22 Classes
Confirmation for Enniskillen schools will take place on SUNDAY 3RD APRIL. The time (previously advertised at 3pm) is to be confirmed. There is a hope to have two services. This is due to the ongoing pandemic, the wonderful number of children wishing to receive the Sacrament and our desire to make the celebration of Confirmation as reverent as we can.
The Sacrament of Confirmation
The Celebration of Confirmation is how we, as Catholics are "enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit” so that we can live " as true witnesses of Christ, more [ready] to spread and defend the faith by word and deed.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1285). This important Sacrament completes our initiation into the Church, and the preparation for this special Sacrament is key to how we respond to Jesus’ call to “love one another”.
Preparation Programme
Last year the Diocese of Clogher put together a series of preparation videos in a programme called Hearts on Fire. This bespoke programme was a response to the need that COVID restrictions highlighted, but the fruits that the programme unearthed have been so powerful throughout the Diocese. In classes, the Confirmation Candidates journey through a series of six videos. These will be updated this year following all the feedback from last year’s programme. You can find all these here: https://clogherdiocese.ie/heartsonfire/
Preparation Sundays for St Michael’s Parish Enniskillen

Daily Prayer for your Confirmation
O God, I pray that you give me a right heart, that I may come to know you in Jesus. Lead me to know the sinfulness of my own heart, and your great love for me, in Christ Jesus. Help those who teach me, to give me the teaching I need. Grant that, on my Confirmation Day, I may be ready to give myself to be your faithful soldier and servant to my life’s end; Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
